The Hunt: Everyone wants it, but only few get it.

Yes! I am talking about a job!!!

We've all heard it before, your parents tell you to pay for things yourself, you ask how? they say "get a job," but.......... How are we supposed to do that?

It is soo tough for teens to find one these days. You thin "yay im 16 I can drive and get a job now whoo!" When really, you can just drive it seems. A lot of places anymore want you to be 18 to be employed. Which is downright crazy.

Here are some ways to apply, interview well and make ca$h!

The Application Process:
When you find a place that is openly hiring, great! Apply. When you go in for the application, be super friendly, smile, be a people person. Also, dress the part to a point. Look nice, casual but nice, and clean. Make sure your hair isn't tangled, your makeup isn't smeared or there isn't too much. This shows the other employees that you want to be there, and they might even say domething to their boss about your wonderful presentation.

Apply to as many places as you can. The worst that can happen is they dont call you for an interview.
*When you apply make sure to read carefully to when your application expires. If it doesn't say, ask the manager or owner.*

The Interview Process:
WOW!! You got an interview! I guess all the smiling and being nice paid off. :)
Basically do the same thing as when you applied.. Be nice, smile, dress up.... etc.

The only thing different you should do is research. Research the company that has called you for the interview. (This way you know answers to some interview questions.)
You can also look up interview questions that the company asks the interview-e, a lot of places have them online. This way you can think of answer ahead of time and really answer well.

HAVE CONFIDENCE! This is Key*, if an employer feels like your not confident about your interview, he/she might think you won't be confident on the working floor.

I am 17, I have applied to every place I could poosibly think of, see, hear and smell around my town. It always seems that nobody is hiring. I have had two interviews, one being a scheduled one when you applied for the job. (Hollister) I didn't get that job.
The other interview, went well, I think I have a job? haha. They told me I dont start for another month and a half, but will they remember they told me that, and call?? Only time will tell...

Also, never rule out babysitting, household cleaning, outdoor cleaning etc. I babysit all the time and make decent money. Guys can do it too!!

I'll keep you updated!

Good Luck
